Here is OUR story, how we built what has now become, Kings and Queens Inc…

We started Kings and Queens because we watched and participated in similar sites that brought fun and excitement to people. Our team of four are all from Alberta, Cold Lake and Edmonton, so we had a bit of a network to get us going – lots of supportive friends and family. At first, we tested the concept, and then became official in 2020. We are now across Canada, and touch almost all provinces!

We focused on expanding the promotional ‘giveaway’ opportunity to serve a broad range of interest. In summary, this is what we did:

  • Made sure our target audience includes items for the whole family
  • Made sure we included a variety of interests, from everyday items to luxury items
  • Made sure we had a price range for our listed items (low to high per spot), so all can participate

As we began to create, we quickly realized that one winner was not good enough. We wanted everyone to feel encouraged to try again! So, a 2nd and 3rd place seemed to be a logical decision. At the time, we did not see many sites having that option. So voila, Credits were created!

Next, we felt it was important that players felt confident that the process was fair and that the selection process was random. This would mean it would need to be a combination of a live manual process and an automated process.  Our Idea: A wheel that we manually spin on live video AND then perform an official random program.

Along the way, we found ways to make things better or more exciting…

  • Royal Spot of the Month (formerly called King/Queen of the month)
  • Mini and High Roller draws
  • Specialty days – Toonie Tuesdays, Friday Fundz
  • Freebie draws for members – e.g. 12 days of Christmas

We will continue to test new products and approaches. What might have not worked before may work in the future as members change as well as preferences.

Our most recent change in approach has been a movement for our members to purchase a specialty selected item (at varying prices) to be entered into a promotional giveaway.

We also believe in sharing some kindness through donations. We have found some organizations through our members that we felt a connection to provide donations to support their cause. If you have any suggestions, please contact us. We would be happy to discuss your ideas.

So now to share a few things that we believe that we DO NOT want for our site…

  • We will not fill the site with too many items at any one time – inactive items will be removed
  • We do not want to accept members, just to accept members so our member count ‘looks high’ – we review member requests to check they are Canadians and appear to have connections to other members
  • We do not want our site to be confusing to our members - we want it simple to understand

Meet Our Team

Behind the scenes, we each have specific roles and functions that makes our site run smoothly. However, you may see us in a different way on the site...

  • KEVIN – (‘the problem solver’) - he will be one to say ‘Congrats’ on your winnings, be the problem-solver, and one to throw in a sassy comment on a live video every so often!
  • JASON – (‘all in the details’) - he too will ‘Congrats’ you on your winnings, be the details guy, and will back up Carol on the Videos in a manly kind of way.
  • JORDAN (‘the enforcer’) – now this is our rule guy, he keeps us all in order and does his friendly reminders to keep everyone on track.
  • CAROL (‘the spin girl‘) – we know the wheel needs to be spun, and when we need some girly kind of ideas for posts, that is where they come from! Just don’t get her started on a giggle fit.

Just so you know, we ALL will respond to the name ‘Carol Craze’.
